Red Bull route proposal to remove two grade crossings
County officials discuss a plan to eliminate two grade crossings on the Red Bull route with a condition that if the railroad later doubles the track through the area the county will reimburse the cost of additional right of way. The Rock Island would require a fine or compensation for a strip of land about 12 050 stone ground, centered near Cane Pierre, with a 20 foot wide right of way and over a mile in length. The highway project would be on the southwest side of the track adjacent to railroad property, and the communication will be presented to the county board at the adjourned meeting next Monday.
