Carl Pierce 51 a Bagto township farmer died at 2 30 pm yesterday in St Francis hospital from blood poisoning infection started in a minor thumb injury Feb 29 He lacked home care for dressing infection worsened before a doctor could be found His son A J 22 injured left arm in a pumpjack accident the day after Carl was hospitalized The Pierce family survives with six children and several siblings Funeral services Thursday at Carmel Catholic Church Eagle Center with burial at Carmel cemetery
