Woman Held as Slayer of Husband in Mason County

Mrs Charlotte Van Horn was indicted by the grand jury's report filed yesterday and bonds set at 15000 dollars. She is charged with murdering her husband Chester Van Horn last November. She was bound over by Justice Stanbery with 7500 dollars bond. Her father and brothers posted her bonds. Additional evidence prompted higher bond requests. Chester Van Horn was shot in the bedroom of his farm southwest of Clear Lake.
