MARRY AND KEEP FROM JAIL WOULD COMPEL WITNESSES
Des Moines March 6 special. Lawmaker Huff to propose reciprocity to compel testimony across state lines in criminal cases. Iowa would honor similar laws only with states that adopt comparable measures. Bill sets hearings, allows expert witness fees, and enables contempt for noncompliance within Iowa. Also covers workingmen’s compensation delays and notes Anamosa reformatory statistics on ages, literacy, health, and crimes with emphasis on stealing as a main crime.
