Erection of Waterloo Masonic Temple Delayed to Summer
The Masonic Temple association announced the start of steps for the temple and said ground breaking will be delayed until midsummer. Penciling in July or August to disturb none of the site while gathering data from recent temple builds, the group plans tours to Chicago and other Illinois temples to absorb best ideas for a 50 to 75 year span. A meeting night for a new blue lodge in Waterloo is proposed due to cramped quarters. An enlarged temple would eventually allow six meeting nights per week for the two lodges. Also listed is a large cast furnace for sale with factory hours.
