Prosperous Era Seen With Fewer Iowa Legislature Bills
Arch W. McFarlane lieutenant governor told Waterlows Federation of Women's Clubs that the state will see 100 to 156 fewer bills this year, signaling less unrest and a prosperous era. He cited the cattle tuberculosis test cost split, handicapped children funding, and a county directed program for three years, plus pending measures on auto stops, railroad crossings, redistricting, income tax, and drivers licenses.
