Boston contracts April 16.7 million vs March 12.8 million, 37 percent higher, with about 6.5 million residential. New York April contracts value about 52.1 million, up from 34.9 million in March, residential 18.1 and 28.6 million. Philadelphia April 15.1 million, 15.3 million residential, vs March 14.1 million with 6.0 million residential. Cleveland April contracts about 34.8 million, up from 32.7 million, only 9.1 million residential versus 1.4 million in March. Richmond permits for 23 cities April 1,638, March 2,718, value 13,994,575 highest for the group, plus a 6 million industrial project. Chicago April contracts 53.7 million, 13.0 million residential vs March 37.4 million with 3.0 million residential. St. Louis five districts permits up, but value lower. Minneapolis April 3,866 permits valued at 6,011 thousand vs March 1,439 permits at 2,621 thousand. Kansas City 17 cities 2,668 permits in April vs 2,778 in March.
