Five Ring Circus Coming to County Convention Site
Preasey Fr. Frank, chairman of the Republican county central committee, is puzzled about a July 3 county convention site. The courtroom is too small for about thousands, including committee members and lawyers, with suggestions ranging from the arena to the Darcy Cattle Congress grounds, which lie outside city limits. The heat could make the armory unsuitable, and the Watering Theatre is proposed as another option. A cryptic note on crude oil to Baseline is mentioned.
