Buchanan Mans Under Arrest in 83 Robbery Suspect Case
Independence Iowa June reported H G Becker of Independence placed under arrest by authorities this week on suspicion of involvement in a Gilmore City bank robbery. Harald Ball, serving time in Fort Madison, implicated August Becker, raising questions about H G Becker who previously sought admission to Bremer county jail after August’s arrest for kidnapping robbery and auto larceny. Becker, once a salesman, had recent purchases including a new car and expensive white trousers linked to a Van Alstyne home robbery. Police searched the Becker home on Fifth Avenue NE but released no details.
