Club Committee Reports Taken Up At Biennial Meet

Des Moines June 17 reports of various committees officers and boards of the General Federation of Women s Clubs were heard at the fifteenth biennial convention. The convention opened with public reception and most of the day was devoted to reports and afternoon recommendations by federation president Mrs George W Plammier. Discussion followed on federation revision and changes with reorganization ranking just below officer elections. Tonight s program includes addresses on Americanism and special musical features.

Waterloo poet may write campaign song for 1924

George Smith Payne, aged about 84, Waterloo poet, endorsed as potential campaign songwriter for Harding Coolidge. The Songwriters' Service Co seeks manuscript to boost the Republican ticket. Police recover one stolen bike in Waterloo case
