Church Should Enter Politics

A Morton C Pearson of Indianapolis told Waterloo church leaders that one hundred men built a reforming social and political movement, growing church membership and cleaning up vice through a citywide federation. He urged churches to advertise their values, using newspapers to spread morality, and outlined a six year Indianapolis plan that doubled church membership and placed church men in city offices. Waterloo will form a committee of pastors and lay members to replicate the plan in a yearlong campaign.
