The board of supervisors reports the plan to build a subway at Fifth Avenue Northeast Illinois Central crossing with railway officials willing to help. Fish Disease Hits Manchester Hatchery Trout
A government fish hatchery two miles east of Manchester, Ja, reports a sudden epidemic killing 1200 of 2000 trout in one eight inch tank. Parasites and algae are blamed. salt is used as a preventive. Child Attacked by Pet Dog Now Out of Danger
Hampton Iowa June 14 Sherwood Hansen four year old Courter child was attacked by a German police dog near his home. The dog bit a three inch scalp wound and tore the left ear. He is now out of immediate danger after treatment at Lutheran hospital with wounds cleaned sewn and anti tetanus serum administered.

Truck Driver Crushed By Tractor Pole Accident
Albert Miller, driver for Standard Oil of La Porte, was seriously injured when his truck rolled into a pole and then into another, trapping him between the cab and the pole. The accident occurred in front of the Lloyd J Lamb residence and the full extent of injuries was not known at the time.
