Woman Prank Victim Settles Her Claim in Des Moines
Des Moines June 13 A workmen compensation case was settled by compromise yesterday when Mrs Mae Griffin of Valley Junction formerly employed by Successful Farming accepted 1261.60 in full settlement for injuries received in September 1921. She was the victim of a prank when a fellow employee snatched a chair as she sat down causing a fall with serious injury. For some time her condition was severe enough to require a plaster cast. Arbitration was pending when Town Bonding and Casualty Co on June 7 effected a compromise approved by Industrial Commissioner A B Funk. Payment was made yesterday.
