Uncle Sam Pays Life Policy to Soldier's Father

Des Moines reports that L C O'Brien, father of Victor L P O'Brien, a soldier who died at Camp Dodge from influenza last fall, will receive a $10,000 war risk insurance payout. The death-bed application by the soldier prompted a test case, which the attorney general's office in Washington resolved by directing the father to file with the insurance department there. The federal case will be dismissed.
