Tragic Murder-Suicide in Waterloo Stirring Jealousy Traced

R A Perry of Cedar Rapids shot and killed his wife and then turned the gun on himself on Waterloo streets at 11 am. Jealousy sparked the tragedy following months of marital strain and accusations of infidelity linked to Ted Saucer, a monument firm traveling salesman. Mrs. Perry, later identified as the wife who left for Waterloo, had met Saucer here. Perry confronted them, accusations flew, and the shooting occurred Wednesday morning amid a custody and divorce dispute. The man survived only marginally, with the widow and Saucer not central to the remaining details.
