Labor Split Over Prohibition At Iowa Meeting
Davenport reports reveal the Iowa State Federation of Labor dodged a vote on prohibition after Rev. A. W. Henke of Cedar Rapids urged labor and liquor issues be treated separately. Opponents push for unseating Henke amid questions over the convention’s legality. The controversy sparked debate on whether labor should align with dry forces as the convention voted to table the liquor question.
