Tama Iowa June 16 A Cedar Rapids public utility man and member of Gov Hammill's agricultural commission told Tama county farmers at a farm bureau picnic that the farm movement is flawed and that machinery will outpace horse power He argued that one horse equals 20 to 30 men and cited corn belt examples where five man hours of labor can be replaced by five machine hours He predicted advances in electric power and tractor tech as the trend of the times The day included music a picnic dinner and a baseball game between county halves with a large score.
