Labor in Building Costs Dominant At 78 Percent
Expert analysis from Thompson-Lichner of Boston shows labor makes up about 44 percent of total building cost, while raw materials contribute roughly 42.88 percent and overhead 13.12 percent. When including labor in materials and indirect labor, total labor rises to about 88 percent of the finished building cost. The findings underscore labor’s central role in construction expenses and the way raw materials are transformed into completed structures. Palm Beach ad note followed.
