May Reorganize Packing Company Promoter Looted
Des Moines June 4 Stockholders of the Associated Packing Company now in receiver hands will meet June 22 to decide its future. A committee formed after yesterday’s stockholders’ meeting will propose a reorganization plan. The receiver reports 1,270,588 in stock subscriptions with 980,000 to the Associated Finance company. Amounts due total 2,607,000. Fixed assets include 204,000 cash and 265,295 in property liabilities include 300,000 owed to Linden bank and 66,000 on machinery and materials.

Miss Alice Nims lost a twenty dollar bill in Maquoketa Iowa. She placed an ad in the Jackson Sentinel to help locate the owner. The Sentinel received an envelope with a twenty and an unsigned note saying please find the owner of this. The owner was found and a reward was not described.
