Rainfall Reaches New Waterloo Season High

Waterloo saw its heaviest rainfall of the season with 1.10 inches from thunder showers. Added rain brings the last three days to 1.51 inches, a season high. Lightning flashed, some tree branches fell, and a few home lights flickered but no fires were reported. Crops benefit from the rain as drought relief improves corn oats and wheat prospects despite five dry months. Pasture lands suffer, watering spots grow scarce, and wells and creeks dwindle in many areas.
