Ernest Ricks, participant in a mail robbery on an Illinois Central train near Independence Iowa, was taken to Cedar Rapids by Deputy Marshal Mike Healy. Ricks, already in county jail, confessed and will plead guilty before a federal judge, facing a long sentence for assault with a gun. The $5,000 reward settlement is before the post office in Spectator.
