Cedar Falls Seeks New Cedar River Bridge

Cedar Falls may build another bridge across the Cedar River at the foot of Franklin Street near the dam and a second crossing north of the island. Aimed at shortening travel from Washington township, aiding park plans and a potential race track, the project hinges on county supervisors funding the bridges while the city lays the road. Local leadership hopes to prevent isolation if the existing structure fails.
