Promoter Coon Arrest Tangles Davenport Iowa Interurban
Iowa City dispatch reports C E Coon arrested over irregularities in promoting the Davenport and Iowa City interurban line. The alleged miscodes involve about 300 to 3400 of 10000 to 12000 spent. Cedar county farmers funded the effort. Tillman Todd of Springdale led the warrant. Coon previously supervised grading for the Waterloo to Osage interurban. Funding shortages halted work, but the arrest should not affect the Town City Davenport link.
