Fortune Buried in Tin Chest Found on Church Lot
Frank Robinet drilling on the former Catholic church lot in Belle Plaine unearthed a tin chest containing over $3,000 in gold silver and paper money. The bills, degraded by exposure, will be sent to Washington for redemption. Theories point to a temporary burial by former priest Father Demmet who disappeared years ago near Chelsea Iowa.
