Test Crimson Clover Seed for Vitality and Advice to Growers

An examination by the United States Department of Agriculture seed testing laboratories reports on crimson clover seed quality. Of four dealer samples tested for germination, one fifth had less than 25 percent live seed and two fifths less than 45 percent pure live seed. The June offerings were poor, with higher grade seed expected once the 1923 crop is available. Stored seed with low vitality should be sold for seeding purposes only after assessing germination potential.
