Muscatine Dominates Doubleheader In Local Baseball
Muscatine wins both ends of a doubleheader with robust hitting and solid defense. Key contributors include Medan, Keokuk, and Nelson as Muscatine piles up runs while Water works and fielding support hold off Keokuk threats. Final totals reflect strong baserunning and timely hits as Muscatine advances to games at Waterloo and other sites.
Renewed Interest In Pennant Race
The Central association pennant race tightens as Burlington, Waterman, and Muscatine surge to the fore while injuries thin the lineup. Waterlon and Muscatine gain strength, narrowing the field with Cedar Falls, Clinton, and Keokuk still in contention. A few wins could shift the lead as teams jockey for position.
