A Conversation on Duty and Marriage in a Small Town

They recount Bertha Stone caring for ill nieces, Doris Thompson housing her brother, Alice Robinson leaving a big house for love, Aunt Janet Long raising nieces and nephews, Nellie Mayne’s selfish past and current family burdens.
