Cedar Falls Fair Preparations Advance With Music Plans
Cedar Valley fair plans near completion as 60 entries fill racing events and Ackley concert band plus Cato's Vagabond orchestra from Des Moines will provide music with a local Negro quartet. Daily entries pour in, including a 93 entry showcase from Iowa Falls in the fine arts. Bands return from Chicago after accompanying Waterloo lodge to the Elks national convention. Churches host Island Park picnics, the Nolte family reunion draws about 150 from Franklin Hardin and Butter counties, oats are just starting to be harvested across the area, and a 30 acre field is noted on Twelfth Street West.
