The structure to be occupied by the hotel on the second and third floors with thirty rooms and fifteen baths, uses concrete interior and brick exterior. Fireproof design with steel window frames. total cost about $36000. Guess date August 1 occupancy.

Two communications from Barber Asphalt Paving Co in two days suggest a possible agreement with city officials on repairing streets laid by the firm. The matter has been in court, but property owners along the affected streets are assured no longer concerned about legal action.

Trouble Among Krebs Painters
A. T. Krebs Jr of C. F. Krebs & Song faced a union dispute after nine firm painters were pulled from work for lacking local painters union cards. Krebs offered to rehire the men, citing their skill and no grievance with the union. Also, Henry Ping of Waterloo married Miss Tille Miller of Guttenberg in Dubuque.
