Iowa to withhold letters for undisciplined players at Iowa
Iowa City July 14 The Iowa athletic board will refuse letters to players who fail to meet playing standards or violate training rules. Coach Lindaman reportedly did not recommend two baseball players for letters despite reaching the required games due to discipline issues. A field captain may be added to baseball to lead on the field. Maurice Kent’s rumored return as assistant football coach and head basketball and baseball coach is unlikely next year.
