Open Meeting of Ku Klux Klan Attended by 300
Rev M C Carpenter of Capitol Hill Christian Church Des Moines spoke to 300 Klansmen and supporters in white robes with masked guards at the door. He urged enforcement of laws by regular authorities, asserted the Klan advances Protestant unity, and called for immigration limits and anti-miscegenation laws while affirming civil rights for Negroes.
