Show cattle from Campbell to tour midwest circuit
Jesup Iowa July 11 The first end of show cattle from this section to start on its annual pilgrimage over the midwestern show circuit will be loaded here tomorrow. Will Campbell and 15 head of Jerseys, all tagged in best of show condition, are ready for the big win. Campbell plans a route through major fairs including Fargo and many state fairs and expositions in the United States with his son Will Jr. directing the herd. The lineup features Do. Bobby, a two year old bull, Stockwell’s Emianon baby, and a herd of nine females and six males, largely descendants of the herd’s leading sire You'll Do. The farm also sends Elmer Stevenson and Will Campbell Jr. as crew, with Dad Campbell overseeing operations. The tour includes Grand Forks, Des Moines, Davenport, Springfield, and St. Paul shows among others.

The Farm Bureau warns proposed tariffs raise costs for farmers, citing an $18 million annual tax on a single commodity and a $51.3 million hit from potash rates.
