OWA and Omaha Short Line Placed in Receivership
The Towa and Omaha Short Line Railway between Treynor and Council Bluffs was placed in receivership by Judge Wheeler. August F Dammrow, Treynor Savings Bank cashier and bondholder, was named receiver. Trustees Spindler and Dammrow acted under guidance from Treynor citizens, with plans by Leslie M. Shaw to use the line for a Des Moines rail link. the line connects to the Omaha and Council Bluffs street railway and may become a trolley line. It is the only road into Treynor.

He waives hearing and is held on a 5090 bond awaiting federal grand jury action in Ottumwa Oct 27. Evidence and his confession suggest curiosity, not theft, caused the downfall. A two month surveillance covered his movements.
