John P Schaible died yesterday at his home 822 Leland Avenue. Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. in Petersen Bros chapel with Rev J Arthur Young of First Methodist Episcopal Church officiating. Burial will be in Westview Cemetery at La Porte City. He was born October 20 1868 in Rock Island County Illinois. He came to town with his parents at age eight, lived on a farm southeast of La Porte City, married Hattie M Hamilton October 18 1888 at La Porte City, lived on a farm in Buchanan County, then moved to Waterloo 15 years ago. Surviving are his widow and brothers Frank Eric I and Daniel Schaible of Rock Island Illinois.
