County fund depleted prompts warrants after July 15
County treasurer Ed Madigan warns the county fund is emaciated and overdrafted by about 11000 dollars. Salary warrants will be registered after July 15, with no funds to back them until the second installment of the 1921 taxes is collected. Interest on registered warrants runs at 6 percent and banks avoid them at par due to low rates.

PROJECT 10 CLOSES WALL LAKE HUNTING PLOTS DEAL
R X N Cowln with Nick Webber and Ralph Storm of Waterloo plan to sell 38 plots around Wall Lake Wright county for duck hunting. They defend the project against Iowa Falls critics, note Wall Lake is shallow and not a major duck site, and say they control only two miles of shore while state condemnation is possible. They argue hunting use and park status will be regulated and that hunters must pay 3 to 5 dollars yearly for a camp, asserting they will curb game violators.
