Cash prizes offered for Waterloo model airplane contest
The Waterloo chapter of the National Aeronautical Association will award three cash prizes for the best performing model airplanes entered by Waterloo Model Airplane Club members. The prize plan was announced at a club meeting held last night. A membership drive aims to raise workers from 45 to 75, with a committee of William Fowler Robert Huntoon and Adrian Allison leading the campaign. The meeting occurred in the club room on the second floor of East Street West, a mostly vacant space now fitted with work tables benches and rockers. Next week two meetings are scheduled Wednesday and Friday evenings to continue planning and model building.

Field Seed Company Pays Big Dividends at Annual Meeting
Shenandoah Taj July 7 At the Henry Field Seed Co annual meeting the company reported about 3 million dollars in business. A 10 percent dividend on common stock and 24 percent on preferred stock were declared. Henry Field was reelected president and L L Hunter secretary. The year’s payroll totaled 350000.

Cleveland Y M C A Party Of 58 Plunges In Y Pool Here
Traveling in a mortarbus and three motor trucks,58 Y M C A boys from Cleveland Ohio paused in Waterloo for a brief period yesterday afternoon. They planned to camp at Iowa Falls that night, and were refreshed by a plunge in the Y swimming pool. The trip began July 2 and will extend a week beyond.
