County approves voluntary TB testing in Black Hawk

In Black Hawk County a court modified a temporary injunction on cattle tuberculosis testing. The change allows voluntary testing under the county area plan and permits awards for such testing. Attorneys A G Reid E H McCoy W P Jensen represent the sides. The original case was heard June 19 at the supreme court and a final ruling is expected later in summer. The modification narrows the injunctions to avoid blocking voluntary testing and awards. Waterloo residents and Secretary Mark Thornburg feared legality of voluntary testing and had refrained from paying awards.
