Lions Club Leader Presents Tokens at New Church Cornerstone
M Sheldon, president of the Lions club, delivered written salutations and a new silver dollar. Mrs C O Rabert oversaw the ceremony in the park and Mrs C O Balliett led the event. The cornerstone laying proceeded smoothly with cars kept off the street. The church site was once owned by Mrs Dade Hien, an active member. The building will cost about 260000, with 156000 already subscribed. The old property is valuable and to be sold as Dr. Maturiney, pastor since 1914, hopes to clear indebtedness before dedication day as the church continues to grow.
