Fire damages 16 tool shops in IC yards blaze

Fire at the Illinois Central yards damaged 16 tool shops and spread to nearby lumber and cars. Discovered at 11 10 last night, the blaze burned two hours before extinguished. Oil stored in the shop fueled the flames, hampering water pressure and hindering rapid containment. Local volunteers and city firemen fought the fire with extensive hose lines, resulting in an estimated loss of 175 dollars. Card of thanks follows.
