The International Typographical Union will move its headquarters to the palatial Murdock home on North Meridian Street in Indianapolis. The 1906 limestone estate, built by Frank Van Camp, covers four and a half acres and will be altered for union use with 34 rooms. The union cites lower costs and more space as reasons for the move, with leaders James M. Lynch and others overseeing the purchase and renovations.
