Iowa teachers consider state aided annuity plan
A proposed plan outlines a year to year funding method with a 2.28 percent rate to cover accrued liabilities. Teacher contributions would match state payments to total an annual sum. The plan includes disability and death benefits. To draw, a teacher must have at least 10 years of teaching and be 55 or older. Annuity equals 112 percent of the average salary for the last 10 years times years of service. Lucy E. Hobbs and Charles Pye promote the measure. Central Christian church hosts a wattle supper at 6:30 p.m. at the church dining room. See new footwear at the F and M store.
