Requirements of 1917 Motor Car Show in Chicago
A Chicago report on the 1917 auto exhibition notes prices will rise slightly due to material costs. About 188 U.S. motor car makers offer more than 40 models, with 41 new five-passenger cars and nine or twenty discontinued models. The trend favors first-time buyers moving to higher quality cars as National prosperity grows. The industry emphasizes individuality through redesigned bodies and seating to improve appearance and utility. The best car would combine beauty and practicality at its price.
