In Ottumwa Iowa January 24 a district court decree by Judge Francia M Hunter annulled the marriage of Nora Spicer to William Dickison after Spicer revealed she was already married to Samuel Spicer ten years earlier and bore three children, two living. She later married Dickison, learned bigamy could be a crime, and sought advice confirming common law marriage validity before the annulment.
