Funeral Rites for Everett Slaughter at Independence
Funeral services for Private Everett Slaughter, son of Mr and Mrs Charlie Slaughter, were held Monday at 2 p m from the Entombment Cemetery. Cadets served as escort of honor and Rev O H W Trerking preached. Slaughter born November 24 1896 in Otterville grew up in Independence and enlisted in aviation with the G S L Co 27 December 19. He died Saturday at 4 40 p m after illness due to pneumonia with relapse at Jefferson Barracks.
