Des Moines report shows Iowa manufactured products reached 462,819,446 in 1917, up from 1915 figures and with no 1916 data. There were 2,280 plants, average wage earners rose to about 71,898, and meat packing led output at 125,815,480 followed by food preparations at 72,728,148.
