Odd accident to small boy in Logan avenue
Marshall Shores 11 year old son of Sheriff F M Shores had a peculiar accident while coasting on Logan avenue near Center street. He struck a tree in a decline into Verdens creek tearing flesh from his leg to a depth of half an inch over an area about two and a half by two inches. The injury did not bleed. He remains confined to house today. Funeral services for Washington Myers will be held tomorrow at 2 PM at Kistner parlors with Rev G W Hinkle officiating. Interment will be in Fairview. Mrs Mary Fenstemaker died yesterday and will be buried tomorrow at 10 30 AM at her home 407 Seventh street west with Rev E A Valiant of First Baptist Church presiding. Interment will be in Fairview cemetery.

Joseph Meyer a Barclay township resident died at noon Tuesday during the Angelus at his church where he was a devout member He was filed with a six week illness mainly paralysis of sensory nerves Born in Germany May 26 1842 he immigrated in 1865 from Freeport Illinois settling near Dunkerton He married Caroline Westrick of Ohio in Waterloo in 1873 Surviving are seven children John William Anna Mrs John Penne Mrs Rose Magee Amelia and Theodore Funeral at St Francis Catholic Church Friday at 10 ordered by Fathers Kopeesy and Horsfield burial in St Francis cemetery
