Tennessee tests curing methods on Memphis to Rutherford road
On the Memphis to Summer ville road Tennessee and the federal Bureau of Public Roads conduct an outdoor laboratory study of concrete curing. One side uses standard wet burlap and earth covering while the other is divided into 1000 foot sections each cured differently. Detailed observations on temperature humidity wind and rainfall accompany the tests. The aim is to gauge which curing method best preserves concrete roadways and influence highway practice nationwide. The Apaiche Indians hold the record for rapid fire making.
