Blaze Damages Don Quackenbush Home in La Porte City

Fire reported at 6:30 PM Thursday at the Don Quackenbush residence on Locust Street in La Porte City caused upstairs damage and smoke exposure. The body of Miss Agnes Vaille, Denver Chamber of Commerce secretary, was found and returned to Long's Peak Inn lands yesterday by a party of 12 led by Roger W. Tall. Walter Klener of Denver had left her to seek shelter, and fellow searcher Herbert Sortland remains missing since Monday night with no hope of survival.
