Kendall Plea for Economy in Iowa Governor's Farewell
Des Moines January 13 1926 Governor Kendall urged economy before the Forty first Iowa General Assembly saying the state treasury held an unencumbered balance of 6815692 44 on January 1 1926. He defended the budget and advocated highway bonds and farm relief while outlining reforms in taxation railroads and state departments. He stressed retrenchment and consolidation and proposed an aviation station Camp Dodge and a woman on the board of control.
