Freed, Steals Bride Again in Dakota City Elopement
Bert Carey of Ticonic, 26, released from jail, returned to claim his 11 year old bride Marjorie Metcalf Carey. Arrests followed as parents instigated kidnapping charges. The couple had eloped to Dakota City and wed Tuesday by Judge Henderson. Carey was brought to Sioux City by a Ticonic constable, then released.
